We'd love to add many more recent DVDs, music and books but are limited by our relatively small materials budget. The library tries to provide materials that people want so if there are particular DVDs (or other items) you're interested in, let us know. Thanks for taking the time to comment. We too are very sad that the Netlibrary subscription was discontinued. This access to online audio books was provided by the Idaho Commission for Libraries and funding ran out in September. We looked at subscribing for our library and the cost us $6,000/year. Our budget for audio and video is not even $5,000 for this year. We're looking for other online audio sources but so far they are all quite expensive. - Bette Ammon, director

I was recently a visitor at your library and was very impressed. The people of Coeur d'Alene should feel extremely fortunate to have such a pleasant and welcoming library run by helpful and knowledgeable staff

The library does have a policy on patron behavior. Disruptive noise or behavior is discouraged and we encourage patrons to let us know if their library experience is being disruptive. We are happy to speak to the disruptive person. Because so many people use the library, often there will be noise.
Eating is all right out on the terrace or in the meeting rooms. - Bette Ammon, library director

Does the Library have a noise and food policy?

Many many times I have heard thru my head set loud loud voices.....and observed people eating inside the library
