Earlier this spring area teens in Grades 7-12 were invited to submit videos for the festival to participating libraries – Coeur d’Alene, the Hayden Branch Library and the Post Falls Public Library. The videos were created using the theme, “Earth in Focus.” Saturdays program will include a screening of all the videos accepted for the competition as well as some examples of teen videos from other parts of the country. A panel of judges will select the top three entries. Winners will receive cash prizes of $100 for first, $75 for second, and $50 for third. The first-place winners will also receive recognition on the Film Festival Traveling Trophy that will be displayed at the winner’s library for the next year. Refreshments will be provided. The “3-Minute Film Teen Film Festival” has been funded by the participating libraries and their Friends of the Library organizations. |
