Free comic books will be available at the Coeur d’Alene Public Library, 702 E. Front Ave., as part of Free Comic Book Day.logo

Comic books for children will be given away in the Seagraves Children’s Library and young adults 12-18 can get theirs in Teen Central at the library, noon to 4 p.m., while the supply lasts.

Comic books are considered an excellent approach to encouraging children and teens to read and enjoy exciting stories. The free distribution is made possible by a grant from the Friends of the Coeur d’Alene Public Library.

Certificates for a second free comic book from Lightning Comics in Coeur d’Alene will be given away at the library, too.

Anyone who needs accommodation to participate in a library program is asked to contact the staff prior to the activity by calling 208/7692315. News about the library and other city departments is also available on the City of Coeur d’Alene news blog: http://cdacity.blogspot.com/.
