    A Free Library Service for the Homebound - Mail Delivery to Your Home!

    Books to You is a free service provided by the Coeur d’Alene Public Library to patrons of all ages who are unable to visit the library.

    Library staff will mail materials to you at no cost.

    Materials are available in a variety of formats including:

    • Regular books
    • Large-print books
    • Audiobooks on tape or CD
    • Videos/DVDs
    • Music CDs

    Talking Books is a free service provided by the Idaho State Library in conjunction with the National Library Service for people who cannot read regular print due to blindness, low vision or other conditions.

    A machine that uses video equipment to enlarge print is available for use in the Library.

     

  • SERVICES FOR THE DEAF AND HARD OF HEARING   ( 0 Articles )

    The Center, utilizing Library resources, provides the opportunity for equal access, independence, and general welfare for the deaf, hard of hearing, and those with vision loss.  In addition to the Library's general collection and services, specialized equipment, magazines, newsletters, video and audio tapes are available at the Center to meet the specific needs of these patrons.

    Related programs and Club meetings nurture a better understanding of vision and hearing loss for family, friends, and the general public, supporting service without discrimination or prejudice.
