'Voice' Star to Perform to Benefit Library

Coeur d’Alene native and music artist Jacob Maxwell is going to use his voice to benefit the Coeur d’Alene Public Library Foundation.
The star from the NBC Television Network's “The Voice” star, Maxwell will perform at the library, 702 E. Front Ave., on June 21 at 7 p.m. The doors will open at 6:30.
The singer made it into the Top 24 performers in the nationally televised talent show. In addition to singing some of his favorite songs, Maxwell will talk about his experiences while he was performing and interacting with all the “The Voice” participants and judges.
This event is a fund-raiser for the Library Foundation. Tickets are $30 per person and can be purchase at www.brownpapertickets.com/event/4243342. Seating is limited.
The event will include desserts, a no-host bar, and some unique raffle items.
The Library Foundation's mission to assist the Library in providing funds to provide excellence for Library services such as its Freegal music service.
Freegal can be accessed through the library’s website, www.cdalibrary.org, click on the EXPLORE link. Library cardholders can download up to five songs per week for free and legally keep them. Listeners can also stream music anyplace they have Internet access. The Freegal catalog is based on the Sony-owned collection of music and has more than three million titles.
